Modular kitchens are not kitchens that have a couple of accessories in them. It is something that is made module by module with specific dimensions mostly in a factory. Factory made modular kitchens & cabinets are precise and functional with no shabby or sharp edges. So if you are thinking of getting a kitchen installed at your house, your first task should be to look for a good interior designer and a suitable manufacturer who could fit this out for you
Indian cooking as we can all proudly admit has the greatest variety, so this calls for a specially organized space that will make your user experience in the kitchen easier. So here I present to you the five most basic kitchen accessories that you need to consider without a second thought.

- Cutlery organizer
These are available in SS, PVC , bamboo and also polymers . This is basically going to help you in holding & categorizing your knives, ladles & stirrers etc size wise. So, reaching out and working with these is a breeze
When going for a SS one please ensures you have a 304 grade ss basket or insert installed. This will give you a lifetime of rust-free product.
PVC is a more cost effective options that comes as a pre molded structure, this is not my personal favorite but it’s easier on the pocket , so why not. I highly recommend this as a second cutlery insert
Bamboo/ wooden ones one needs ensure is of marine grade , and calls for good craftsmanship . This offers you an opportunity to customize . You can design these for your specific needs .
- Spice rack holder
This my dear friends is a life saver , if you are also someone who is obsessed with labelling and order the n you are at the right place. Go ahead and read this and thanks me later.
Now this is available with most brands as oil/ bottle oull out. This comes both in SS & polymer kind of a fitting.
You again can choose from a three tier or a two tier one. And all you need to do is get uniform sized jars that will hold all your masalas and spices. You can install these and enjoy your experiments at the kitchen
- A Tandem box
This is beautiful fitting that has my heart. This is like the tough stain on your favorite shirt, never fades or gives way (if you know what I mean ☺) This is sturdy and can hold a lot. So, what is a tandem box, let’s explore. It is a drawer with a a specialized sliding / concealed (technology)channel on the sides for with soft closing that can be made in any size. These come in a vriety of colors & sizes to choose from.
The special sliding system ensures smooth opening and closure for a long time.
